Chris Lenerz
Advisor
Chris Lenerz teaches middle and high school journalism at Pine View School in Osprey, FL. He is the adviser for two print newspapers, a news magazine, an online publication, two yearbooks, a broadcast program and a literary magazine. He’s been an FSPA member since 2012. His favorite part of advising is seeing students develop as leaders through being involved with student-run publications. He believes journalism students are presented with the opportunity to foster skills and form relationships that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
Ava Lenerz
Torch Editor-in-Chief
Ava is hyped to be the Torch EIC this year. She spent the first three years on the staff as part of Match and is excited to dabble in Torch Sci-Tech and Web her senior year. Besides for journalism, she loves theater and will shamelessly try and advertise Drama Club shows to anyone who will listen. She pinky promises no nepotism was involved in receiving her position and she apologizes in advance for anything her father does. Live, laugh, love The Beatles and The Rocky Horror Picture Show!,
Allie Chung
Torch Assistant Editor-in-Chief
Allie is a senior and the assistant Editor-in-Chief editor of The Torch. When she is not swimming, she can be found complaining about swimming. She loves to collect pink sea shells and is addicted to ALL foods from Trader Joe's. Fun fact: she can be manipulated into anything if you give her a Trader Joe's chili lime chip. She loves The Torch and all the staff members very much.
Robyn Schoenberg
Torch Assistant Editor-in-Chief
Robyn Schoenberg is a senior and this is her fourth year on Torch. She is President of PV Poets Society and loves hosting slams. She enjoys reading, watching comfort movies, hot coffee, blueberry tea, and spending time outdoors. ♡
Timothy Nesanelis

Timothy is a junior and is ecstatic to be Co-News Editor on Torch this year. He enjoys listening to music and sleeping. He is also a Survivor super-fan and can talk about the show for hours. He is ecstatic to be one of the Torch’s two Co-News Editors.

Madelyn is a junior and the Co-News Editor of the Torch. She likes taking photos and spending time with her cat. She joined Torch as a freshman and is looking forward to the upcoming year.

Alex is a junior who loves all things science. They enjoy listening to music, coding, and watching horror movies. Alex is excited for another great year on Torch! When they're not doing homework, you can find them playing with their cat named Bird.

Daria is a junior who loves conducting interviews, writing, laying out pages... and generally participating in journalism! Outside of that, they write poetry, draw, and go on bike rides. Their favorite animal is a moose, but they also love bumblebees, camels, and bears 🙂

Melissa is a junior at Pine View School. She both an Entertainment Assistant Editor and a Web Creative Designer for the Torch. She loves binge watching Netflix and can be spotted spending all her money on food and thrift stores.

Shriya is a freshman and Co-Entertainment Editor of the Torch this year. She can be found running across campus during lunch on any given day of the week trying to get to as many clubs as she has classes. She loves music, crafts, poetry, and monologuing about her hot takes.

Isabel is a freshman, the Sci-tech co-editor, and a Spark assistant editor this year. She has been at Pine View since sixth grade and in journalism since seventh. She enjoys accumulating new hobbies (you can find her picking another up at any given time), checking off boxes on her extensive to-do lists, and playing tennis.

Jakob is a junior and is currently the Managing Editor. He enjoys hiking, going to the beach, reading, sleeping, watching TV, and most other things he finds the time to do.

As graphics editor and J1 senior to the Torch Hana is excited to bring her style, comics, and off-the-cuff humor to the journalism room. After spending every seventh period of high school eating lunch in the Len Den, her contribution is long overdue — in fact, she might have to pay rent debt soon. If you’re in the mood to chat, she’s all for Monster High, friendly oversharing, and BuzzFeed quizzes. In you’re in a rush, though, never bring up Christmas music. She started listening in July.

Katerina is a sophomore and plays soccer. She enjoys watching movies, reading books and listening to music. She is a huge fan of Harry Potter and Ariana Grande. She is also really looking forward to being the Editor-in-chief of the website this year!

ndrew is a junior and Assistant Editor-in-Chief of the Torch website this year. He loves birds, gaming, sleeping in, and art. He also plays a variety of sports like soccer and track and field. He’s really excited for his third year in Journalism.

Nathan is a senior and is known for actively damaging his hearing by blasting music through his AirPods. He has a huge dependency on chai and would never have gotten this far in life without Notion, an organization website. He is so pumped to be part of Web again this year as the Director of Digital Media

Jenna is a sophomore this year and plays volleyball outside of school. In her free time she enjoys journaling, spending time outside and hanging out with friends. She knows this year on Match will be great and can't wait to see what everyone accomplishes!

Anna is a sophomore and a coxswain at Sarasota Crew. She loves sleeping and taking long naps, journaling, watching Netflix, playing tennis, video gaming, and playing piano. She is also bilingual and loves any music by Tate McRae. She is looking forward to being one of the Match-assistant-editors this year and working with the rest of Match staff!
Minh-khue Tran

Minhkhue Tran is a freshman this year. She likes food, reading books, and hugs (not from her brother though). If she's not stressed or hangry, you'll probably hear her talking and laughing with her friends. One of her favorite places is Barnes and Noble, so you might find her there studying or checking out books on the weekends. She also does taekwondo and is a black belt.

Daria Shabunina is a sophomore who enjoys painting, reading, writing, and riding roller coasters. She wants a pet dragon, but because of limitations such as reality, she has an adorable pet dog instead.
