With vivid posters decorating each table and multi-colored flyers floating through the air, students visited a variety of booths during the Sep. 8 Club Fair. The class of 2022 hosted the event as their quarter one initiative project, with the help of class sponsors Cindi Wozniak and Megan O’Mahony. Through an email, O’Mahony stated that class officers Maya Gordon and Laura Gaye were “instrumental” in the process of organizing the event.
Despite the challenges that the past year has held, many clubs are up and running again, ready for both new and old members to be welcomed back. There were longstanding, renowned clubs, such as Speech and Debate and Model United Nations, as well as many new clubs that are eager to start their meetings. From puzzles to tree-hugging, there’s a place for everyone. All club members pitched in to complete the day’s work, showing up early to set up stands and posters.
“I think that, with it being our first annual Pine View Club Fair, I thought that it went really well. I thought our students were really engaged and excited,” High School Assistant Principal Lana Marcotte said. “It was a really great way to inform our students about all of the plethora of clubs that we have available to them.”
